Planning for Operations Program Manager (Central Office Traffic Operations Division)

VDOT is hiring a Planning for Operations Program Manager for our Central Office, Traffic Operations Division (Position 21244). This position leads a highly skilled team of traffic engineers and data scientists supporting statewide initiatives in traffic engineering and AI/ML analytics, intersection and interchange control assessments, and the development of policies, methodologies, and real-time decision support tools for District and Executive leadership.

The Program Manager will collaborate closely with VDOT Districts, research institutions, federal partners, local agencies, and industry leaders to advance mobility, safety, and system reliability through innovative approaches to planning for operations. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong leadership and collaboration skills, expertise in traffic engineering and operations planning, and familiarity with emerging technologies that support TSMO solutions. A P.E. license is required.
