Integrated Solutions Technical Program Manager (Position 04858)

VDOT is seeking an enthusiastic and well-qualified leader to drive its Program VISTA forward. Program VISTA (Virginia’s Integrated Solution for Traffic-Operations Applications) is foundational to VDOT’s ability to continuously monitor roadways, coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies, manage and optimize arterial traffic signal operations and disseminate traveler information to the public and neighboring states. These safety-critical responsibilities are supported by numerous 24/7/365 systems and technology applications.

The Integrated Solutions Technical Program Manager (Position 04858) in VDOT’s Operations Technology Division will lead the technical implementation (the “how”) of Program VISTA. This position will provide application architecture development/direction, technical oversight, troubleshooting across technology solutions, and ensure systems meet functional requirements and enterprise architecture guidelines. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of applications architecture, software development, systems integration, data management, change management, cloud services and cyber security. Industry knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic operations and state-of-the-practice transportation technology tools are desired.
